Armed Forces Bone Marrow Transplant Centre/ National Institute of Blood and Marrow Transplant (AFBMTC/NIBMT) provides specialized care for patients suffering from various malignant & non-malignant blood disorders. It is a dedicated centre for clinical haematology and bone marrow transplant.
Inaugurated on 20 Mar 2001, the First bone marrow transplant was carried out on 19 July 2001. Till Sep 2023 around 1500 bone marrow transplants have been carried out at this centre.
