It is a matter of immense pride and great honour for I me to share with you the news that Armed Forces Bone Marrow Transplant Centre (AFBMTC) has been designated as National Institute of Blood & Marrow Transplant (NIBMT) by Government of Pakistan. In this regard a memorandum of understanding was signed between AFBMTC and Ministry of National th Health Services, Regulations & Coordination on 17 May, 2017. We hope that this land mark occasion will go a long way in furthering cause of haematology services in Pakistan. There is lot of work that needs to be done for developing stem cell and bone marrow transplantation and expanding the scope and delivery of health services in the field of haematology. I am very confident that establishment of AFBMTC/NIBMT will go a long way in serving the cause. Looking forward to exciting times in haematology.
